Pdfcreator windows 7 not working

Fixed the problem. Now, on to other Win7 issues. I'm on Windows 7 Pro. PDFCreator suddenly stopped working for me. I did not realize how much I had come to depend on it! This solution worked for me. I still working with this tool and found it useful.

Anyway I enjoyed this impressive bit. I've noticed that PDFCreator doesn't work well with Windows 7 - - - local installation seems to work, but printing does not.

Running Windows 7 bit here. I tried installing in another directory as suggested but I still get the same problem.

I have the same issue. Except for my Windows 7 users. I'm getting errors when it tries to connect to the shared printer on log on. It's trying to find drivers and it's not successful.

Any tips? I'm also having trouble installing the PDF Creator as a service. It does appear in the service list and i can configure to use the appropriate log on credentials.

But, it errors out when staring the service and I still have to log in and start the application. It runs fine when i start it at log on with user interaction. But no luck with the service running properly. Any advice on this too? I've noticed that PDFCreator doesn't work well with Windows 7 - - - local installation seems to work, but printing does not. Running Windows 7 bit here. It appears to break and not produce. It complains about an "invalid image" - this happens even even for plain text files - and crashes if you chose to execute the next command or skip procedure, the fix for me was to do the following:. Select: "Run programs made for previous versions of Windows".

Select: "Try recommended settings" You can start the program if you like to test things but would only be worth it if you have something in the PDFCreator print queue which if you have encountered this error you will , or have a file you can add for printing.

Just tried this myself, and it fixed it for a local install. Now, how that would work with a network printer? I am currently running Windows 7 on my computer. Daisy Zhou. Thanks for contributing an answer to Super User!
