After an update is applied to the Backup Exec Server, the Remote Agents will need to be redeployed so that they receive the update. Updates are released periodically. Maintenance Releases also known as Patch Updates are a roll up of all prior updates, patches, or hot fixes. Updates and hot fixes are normally added to Veritas Update Backup Exec 20 and above approximately two weeks after release in the Veritas Downloads Center. The previous updates for that Backup Exec version are removed from Veritas Update.
If an update that is needed to resolve an issue is released after the current Maintenance Release, it can be manually downloaded from the Download Center and will it be available in Veritas Update shortly after publication in the Download Center. The next Maintenance Release will include all patches, and hotfixes up to the date of the Maintenance Release. This thread was started 14 months ago. SP2 has been released, it's still not fixed. I've given up on this one.
